The response to the association's call for vertical actors was larger than expected. The conversation is not ending; it is starting.
The response to the association’s last post was bigger than anyone at VPAA expected.
Thank you to everyone who commented, tagged actors, shared their stories and joined the conversation. The interest from the vertical community proves that actors, creators and fans are ready for the next chapter of this format.
What we heard
Performers introduced themselves. Fans tagged the leads they follow across platforms. Producers and casting directors asked how to find verified talent. For a few days, the comment thread was one of the better public directories of working vertical actors anywhere.
That is exactly the gap the association exists to fill. A format with this much talent and this much audience should not depend on an Instagram comment thread to connect the two.
What comes next
VPAA sees your comments. We hear your voices. And we are building the infrastructure the response showed the industry needs: a verified registry where every credit is confirmed by the production that shot it, a casting exchange where productions can find that talent, and standards that make the work professional.
